WHAT IS RAM AIR INTAKE?
A RAM air intake is an air intake system that uses the air pressure created by vehicle motion to increase vehicle power. It is used on high-performance vehicles, such as motorcycles and performance cars. What are the most important features and advantages of this system?

What are the advantages of using a RAM Air Intake system?
Providing adequate airflow is important for any vehicle aiming to achieve a top performance level. In this regard, the RAM Air Intake system offers several advantages for vehicles, particularly those with internal combustion engines, which we will describe here.
1. Increased Engine Performance:
One of the primary benefits of a RAM Air Intake system is its ability to deliver a greater volume of cooler, denser air to the engine. This denser air contains more oxygen molecules, leading to improved combustion efficiency and increased engine performance. With more oxygen available, the engine can produce more power and torque, resulting in enhanced acceleration and overall performance.
2. Improved Fuel Efficiency:
By delivering cooler, denser air to the engine, a RAM Air Intake system can help optimize the air-fuel mixture ratio, leading to more efficient combustion. This improved combustion efficiency typically results in better fuel economy, as the engine is able to extract more energy from the fuel with each combustion cycle. As a result, vehicles equipped with RAM Air Intake systems may experience improved gas mileage and/or an improved power-to-fuel consumption ratio under certain driving conditions.

3. Enhanced Throttle Response:
The increased airflow provided by a RAM Air Intake system also leads to improved throttle response. With a larger volume of air available to the engine, throttle inputs are translated into quicker and more immediate acceleration, enhancing the vehicle’s responsiveness and drivability.
4. Reduced Engine Heat:
RAM Air Intake systems often feature ducting or channels that route air from outside the vehicle directly to the engine’s intake system. This incoming air is typically cooler than the air inside the engine bay, helping to reduce engine operating temperatures. Cooler engine temperatures improve engine longevity and reliability by reducing the risk of overheating and component wear.
5. Customization and Performance Tuning:
RAM Air Intake systems are available in a variety of designs and configurations, allowing vehicle owners to customize their intake system to suit their specific performance goals and preferences. Additionally, aftermarket RAM Air Intake systems often offer performance tuning options, such as adjustable air ducts or intake filters, that allow users to fine-tune their engine’s performance characteristics for optimal results.
